About
I’m doing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’ve the privilege of being advised by Prof. Brighten Godfrey and Prof. Radhika Mittal. My research focuses on problems in networked systems. Currently, I’m working on optimizing load balancing and resource scheduling in the cloud.
Earlier, I did my undergrad from LUMS, Pakistan, where I had the good fortune of working with Prof. Zafar Qazi and Prof. Ihsan Qazi. We quantified the degradation in quality of experience (QoE) while users stream videos on mobile devices under memory pressure. We then demonstrated how an improved video delivery over the network could mitigate this. Our work is published in ACM CoNEXT ‘22 [See paper].
